In the process of constant renewal of the company, a central role is played by the pursuit of important certifications attesting a correct management of the processes and a compliance with the regulations necessary to work with critical production environments.
The certification is not a “quality stamp” or a trophy to be exhibited in the meeting room, but a path to continuous renewal and an internal challenge to be even more motivated to improve. The certification is the reason that leads the company to move in a more functional, more efficient but above all coordinated and scalable. It is the base from which to build a structured industrial activity.
IATF 16949 certification: quality for the automotive sector
In January 2020 ZARE was the first Italian additive manufacturing service to have passed the audit for the IATF 16949 which imposes rigorous and specific quality standards for companies operating in the automotive industry.
In particular, the IATF 16949 standard, published in October 2016, emphasises the creation and management of continuous improvement processes aimed at guaranteeing product safety, preventing defects and reducing variations. A great deal of attention is also placed on the ability to manage change, constantly improving flexibility and adaptability.
It's the international reference standard for the automotive sector and is recognised and requested by the main American and European vehicle manufacturers.
Published by IATF (International Automotive Task Force), it is based on the latest version of the ISO 9001:2015 standard, of which it respects the structure and requirements, adding specific tools and requirements for manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive industry.
Certification prEN 9100:2016 – quality for the most critical sectors
In May 2018, Zare obtained compliance with the requirements of the prEN 9100: 2016 standard for the "Production of prototypes and details in metal and polyamide alloys with Selective Laser Melting and Additive Manufacturing technologies" The certification is specific for companies operating in the aerospace supply chain, one of the most demanding sectors, and replaces the UNI EN 9100: 2009, already obtained by Zare in 2017.
The new standard requires specific methodologies to identify and understand the elements that can influence the achievement of the expected results (risks and opportunities) and it places greater attention on the objectives as they are both qualifying factors for improvement and references to measure and evaluate the performance of the company.
We always say that the additive manufacturing sector is competitive and stimulating for the players that gravitate around it. To be at the top, a continuous update is essential and the certifications represent a fundamental part of our growth path. In conclusion, these documents are a testimony of the commitment shared by all the departments that work every day to ensure quality, efficiency and effectiveness for every component that leaves our Factory.
