An important element of our work is the commitment dedicated to the work carried out in the internal finishing department. An industrial additive production must have the characteristics, both technical-functional and aesthetic, expected by the designer.
The heat treatments give the component crystalline structures and specific properties, they can be made in vacuum and / or controlled atmosphere (argon). For example, stress relief eliminates residual stresses that may arise during the use of the component.
Polishing and Satining
Polishing and satin finishing allow to obtain shiny surfaces and opaque surfaces, respectively.
Tumbling allows to reduce the roughness of the surface, it can also be used to prepare the piece for subsequent polishing.
Galvanic treatments, such as anodizing or PVD coating, allow to confer certain aesthetic / technical properties to the component.
The shootpeening is realized thanks to a jet of microspheres that impacts and consequently harden the surface, for a very pleasant and uniform visual effect. The treatment proves useful not only from an aesthetic point of view, but also from the functional one as it increases the fatigue strength of the treated component. Unless otherwise specified by the customer, all metal parts and components are submitted to the shotpeening process.
Sample painting according to customer requirements: glossy or matt finish, embossing, specific effects, colors from RAL or Pantone. The preparation of the piece before painting is fundamental in order to obtain a final effect of the highest level.
Wrapping allows you to cover the piece with special leathers, fabrics and materials. It is a finish particularly suitable for mock-ups.
Galvanic processes for technical purposes
The galvanic processes, or coating, such as chromium plating, nickel plating and copper plating allow to obtain a certain electrical, mechanical or conductive performance. These are structural treatments mainly used for technical purposes, but which offer excellent performance also from an aesthetic point of view, so different shades and satins are available. These processes require special care in preparing the surface before treatment.
The vacuum metallization is used to obtain a mirror, chrome, or satin finish. Through this procedure, applicable to all our rapid prototyping technologies, it is possible to obtain metallizations in different colors (gold, chrome, silver, copper, bronze and other colors), as well as various glazing.
Coating or protective coatings that give properties to materials. In particular, thanks to the paint developed with Lechler, it is possible to coat the models (or only part of them), in order to guarantee a higher use temperature and an increase in resistance to corrosive agents.
With the impregnation process, color dyeing, the piece produced is made waterproof; it is mainly used with superficially porous materials (SLS and FDM technologies). The components are colored by absorbing a liquid dye.
Light Fiber Covering
Light fiber coatings make the prototypes more and more similar to the final piece. Various materials are available such as carbon leather, alutex, kevlar, radica and many others.
It is a technology that allows to detect geometries directly from a physical object, through a laser scan; subsequently the mathematics detected can be modified and optimized.
